The Top 5 Caffeine-Free Natural Energy Supplements, Energy For Hours Without Caffeine!

Need a quick boost of energy that can last for hours, yet everything on the market always seems to be the same thing... Caffeine! Well here are some natural supplements that don't have caffeine, but can still give you a great boost of energy. The main thing to keep in mind is that a caffeine high and energy are NOT the same thing. So when taking some of these if you find you don't have the same reaction as caffeine, remember caffeine is a drug (even though it can be naturally sourced) and the so called energy boost you get from it is the high!

1. Cellfood/Mineral/Oxygen Supplements: Cellfood is an Oxygen supplement with 78 minerals, 34 enzymes, 17 amino acids, electrolytes and of course dissolved oxygen. This one is tremendous because as opposed to just giving a boost of energy it fills in so many nutritional gaps that most people have in one area or another. Correcting your nutritional deficiencies is the first step in increasing your natural energy levels.

How do you use it? Just add around 10 drops to your juice or water. Consume daily up to 3 servings. Always during and after physically active activities.

2. NADH is a Co-Enzyme, a Co-Enzyme is a molecule that can enhance or enable enzymes in the body. It's a key component in cell respiration. Which is the major determining factor in how well your body is able to create ATP which is your cell energy. By combining NADH and Cellfood you will notice a HUGE boost in your normal energy levels, with your cells maximizing their natural ATP output.

How do you use it? You can take anywhere from 5-20mg a day, it's recommended to take early in the day. Even though it doesn't contain caffeine it definetely gets your energy up and may make going to sleep difficult.

3. Super Greens: Super Greens are foods with high amounts of chlorophyll and phytonutrients, the same nutrients you get from your green vegetables. Wheat Grass, Barley Grass, Spirulina and Chlorella are all examples. I'd read that one pound of wheat grass is equivalent to comsuming 100 pounds of baby spinach, now I'm not sure if that's going to be true, either way it's a testament to the nutrient power inside these foods.

My personal favorite is Chlorella, which is the highest natural source of chlorophyll which is a blood purifier. As well it contains significant amounts of DNA/RNA similar to the human strain, so it's a huge contributor to cell regeneration. Oh did I mention it has also been shown to chelate heavy metals out of the body. Heavy metals being claimed as potentially the #1 reason for most illness and disease today! Yeah it's super alright.

How do you use it? Start off slow. 1 teaspoon a day and work up to as much as 1 tablespoon a day. Greens can give you diarrhea if you take too much especially if your body isn't used to them. Just don't say I didn't warn ya.

4. Milk Thistle! Some might wonder what a detoxification herb is doing here on a best energy boost list. I thought it deserved a place here simply because it's the number #1 herb used to regenerate and detoxify the liver. When your liver is clogged and overburdened with toxic waste your energy levels will plummet and nothing is going to help boost that energy back until the root problem is fixed.

How do you use it? Take it daily in a concentrated extract form of 100mg-300mg three times a day.

5. MACA: This herb also known as peruvian ginseng has been a big hit in the market recently. Namely for its adaptogenic effects, meaning it works with the body according to what the body needs at that time. It's rich in minerals and nutrients because like greens foods maca is also a super food. It's biggest boost so far has been in strengthening libido, particularly in women whom I've seen clear the shelves of this product in my store over the course of the last few months.

How do you use it? Take it in a powder or liquid form is ideal. 1 tsp a day tends to be enough although there are no problems with taking more than that a day.

How to Have Better Feeling Thoughts - 4 Methods of Mind

As we head steadfast to the year 2012, the age of aquarius or age of awareness, I notice the blend of science and spirituality becoming more apparent in mainstream society. Media outlets geared towards the average Joe now host an increasing number of movies, books, TV shows and the like around the subject of the unseen power of the human thinking potential.

How much power do our thoughts really have? If one would agree that we are energy beings housed in physical, flesh bodies then one might also agree that each individual energy being is connected to a much larger universal energy that thinks (has intelligence). These deeply held thoughts become beliefs which in turn spurs creation. If this is true then our thoughts are as powerful as we believe them to be. In this light, our beliefs may very well be the most valuable thing that we own.

All of the great masters and ancient teachers through the ages have illustrated this fact using various forms of language, prayers, mantras, sacred books, initiations, miracles, symbolism, parables, formal and informal schools, etc. All in an effort to help guide us to use our internal energy center of feelings and emotions that likewise interact with our beliefs, thereby creating and expanding life.

If you would like to focus your energy on feeling joyous and peaceful which in turn creates joy and peace then here are 4 Schools of Thought for you to consider:

The Movement of Spiritual Inner Awareness (MSIA) - is dedicated to helping people experience the fullness of who they are as spiritual beings. MSIA was founded by John-Roger in 1968. MSIA provides a variety of tools and techniques that allow you to experience your soul. As your awareness expands a greater sense of peace, abundance and love emerges. You will find more information at their website msia.org.

The Option Institute - is a not-for-profit educational organization founded in 1983 by Barry and Samahria Kaufman. The Option Institute trains individuals to deal more effectively with day-to-day challenges and aid you to scale the heights if your personal summit. The Option Institute believes in experiential training versus conventional lectures and seminars, in an effort to make the student an active learner and participant rather than just an observer. Their website is option.org.

The Great School of Natural Science (GSNS) - it's aim is to teach the student to live a life here on earth, in such a manner as to achieve more proficiency in all that he does; to solve his daily problems with greater wisdom and facility; and thus to gain more joy, pleasure and contentment. GSNS was founded by John E. Richardson and Florence Huntley in 1897. Through instruction and personal experience one discovers that as an individual intelligence, she has the independent power to conform her life to the Constructive or the Destructive Principle and Process of Nature, whichever she elects. More information can be found at gsns.org.

The Avatar Course - the mission of Avatar in the world is to catalyze the integration of belief systems. When we perceive that the only difference between us is our beliefs and that beliefs can be created of discreated with ease, the right and wrong game will wind down, a co-create game will unfold, and world peace will ensue. The Avatar Course was created by Harry Palmer in 1987. All course information can be found at AvatarEPC.com. The Avatar Course opens a window to the inner workings of your own consciousness.

None of these schools of thought subscribe to any particular religious group or church, therefore all with an open mind are welcomed. In closing I will leave you with these 3 questions to ponder.

Are we what we think?

Are the beliefs you hold helpful or harmful?

What do you REALLY believe?

The Healing and Transformative Energy of Prayer

There are several different types of prayer and all of them useful and powerful in their own way. In Catherine Ponders beautiful book "The Dynamic Laws of Prosperity", she explains there are at least 4 ways to pray.

The first is called general prayer and is the one most people think of as the traditional, old-fashioned, down on your knees type of prayer. It is the asking for something and expecting to receive it type of prayer that will never go out of style. The key to this type of prayer is in the expectation of it being answered. Many people say prayers without really thinking about what they are saying, or believing they will actually experience the results they wish for.

Ponder describes the second type of prayer as the prayer of denial. In this case denial does not mean to withhold but instead means to dissolve or to be free of something. It is a refusal to accept anything in your life that is not satisfying or good. It is saying no to the things you are "putting up with" or "tolerating". The best way to do this type of prayer is to follow saying "No, I will not accept this (situation, person, or experience) any longer" with, "And, yes, I will accept what I rightly deserve instead, or something better."

The third type of prayer discussed in her book is used in conjunction with denial prayer and this is the one we hear about most often today as scientific or new age prayer and it is called affirmative prayer. I teach my clients to always start affirmative prayer with "I am so happy and grateful now that I..." Affirmative prayer states the desire as if it is already true in a gesture of faith that what you desire is already yours. It is related to the Universal Law of Command which states that "through an attitude of authority, you can take control of the good which you wish to experience in life."

The final type of prayer described in Ponders book is the prayer of meditation and silence. In meditation you make the mind receptive to Divine downloads of information such as ideas to move you into right action or may you just receive a sense of peace and that all is well, there is nothing you need to do right now. In my opinion, this type of prayer is the best way to solve problems. If you just meditate on the solution rather than focus your energy on the problem, then the answers you seek will come. Daily meditation is like your "inner short cut" to success in any area of your life.

There is a lot of energy in any earnest prayer, regardless of the type. Greg Braden, author of "The Lost Mode of Prayer" talks about the importance of feeling into your prayers. It's the feeling of what you desire, such as peace, love or happiness that evokes an energy that is greater than and quiets down your fears and anxieties and is very healing on so many different levels. Also, when two or more people gather together in earnest prayer, the energy increases dramatically! Today, we are lucky enough to live during a time when we can measure the power of prayer and positive intention through scientific study. In the early 1980's the effects of prayer were documented through studies of prayer and meditation in Israel, in addition to urban areas of crime in the U.S., the Philippines and India. In the presence of focused and intentional practices of thought, feeling and emotion, measurable decreases in crime and terrorism were observed and recorded.

As modern science continues to validate a relationship between prayer via our inner thoughts, feelings and dreams with the outer world that surrounds us, we have proven that a powerful bridge that links the world of our prayers with that of our experience exists. In light of such research, imagine the potential of applying such subtle principles of affirmative, meditative and expectant prayer to an outcome of collective healing, global peace and graceful transition through the challenges that we've been experiencing recently around the world?

Time For Real Energy Alternatives - Time For Action

It's time to step up to the plate on the oil situation and implement a multi-faceted approach. It's time to reason through the hysteria of those who complain (as several have done in recent columns in this paper) but offer no alternative solutions except to say " . . . each of us must strike a balance between attending to the corporeal needs of a material existence while simultaneously embracing high spiritual aspirations . . . . "Or" . . . .We have to move forward. And we have to begin the conversation now. We have a lot of work to do and not much time. Summer may be upon us, when, as the song goes, the living is easy. But winter is just around the corner." And this, " . . . ..What's more important: To drive wherever we want and consume whatever we think we have to have, or to secure a future for the generations yet to come, a future worth living on a planet that can sustain a healthy diversity of life?"

Say what? Hey, finish the sentences. What work do we have to do? Exactly what is a planet that can sustain a healthy diversity of life? Please describe those "high spiritual aspirations."

Gutless and spineless politicians on both sides of the aisle --many of whom now have gone in hiding-- offer the same old drivel about alternative energy sources and conservation. They talk about ethanol (which has been the "answer" for as long as I can remember), they blow foul wind about wind-induced energy, they offer up geothermal, hydro, solar and tidal energy alternatives without even knowing what they are talking about, and they have the gall to discuss government-mandated miles-per-gallon limits.

Stop this insane pandering and do your due diligence and at least try to understand the fundamentals of global economics. Do what is necessary to bring our great country back on its feet predicated, in part, on the basic economic logic that prices come down when supply goes up. Initiate actions that include but are not limited to the following:

* Understand that any policy must be predicated on a clear balance between our need for oil and energy sources and the impact of that need on the eco system.

* Remove the Moratorium on offshore drilling and utilize ROV techniques.Today, many companies are dedicated to operating a range of remotely operated vehicle (ROV)systems. This contributes to clean offshore drilling and can sustain operations in the coastal oceans and large lakes accomplishing a range of complex research tasks. One example of such a company is Oceaneering Int. Inc (OII).

* Regarding steps to drill in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR), determine once and for all whether environmental concerns over-ride the potential benefits of drilling. If not, pass pro-drilling but ecologically sensitive legislation forthwith. The determination must be made by those who hold no stake in the outcome.

* Begin a selective and staggered approach to utilizing nuclear energy, and recognize that one part of the risk-reward equation is that well-operated nuclear power plants do not release contaminants into the environment

* Provide meaningful financial incentives for use of solar and wind-induced energy.

* Provide financial incentives for realistic approaches to energy reduction: conservation, weatherization, efficiency, and on a somewhat longer term, renewables.

* Utilize coal energy on a selective basis (rural areas, for example) recognizing that the coal industry has found several ways to reduce sulfur, nitrogen oxides, and other impurities from coal.

* Implement appropriate controls on paper trading of oil futures so there is no possibility whatsoever the crisis is caused by such trading as much as it is the result of fundamentals--keeping in mind that hyperventilation over such speculation allows politicians to engage in political theater and blood sport while distracting us from the real issues.

* Politicians need to understand that a critical and basic concept in understanding supply and demand theory is elasticity; they need to understand (in the context of oil) how the supply and demand of oil responds to various factors.

* Do not tax windfall profit taxes. Such a tax passed in 1980 was an abject failure. There are few if any oil economist who would argue that windfall profit taxes are good for consumers, but that's a story for another column.

* Remove restrictions so that refineries can be built--something that has not been done in 25 years. Create a business partnership with Brazil to get in early on their recent and massive oil find.

* Seize the opportunities that the Canadian Sands present as an alternative source down the line, but realize China has already contributed to the building of a pipe line to the Canadian shore. Some say The Canadian sands contain the biggest known reserve of oil in the world. An estimated 1.7 to 2.5 trillion barrels of oil are trapped in a complex mixture of sand, water and clay. Companies like Petro-Canada have been in the oil sands for many years.

* Determine how Joe Kennedy can buy heating oil from Citgo via Venezuela for needy people in Boston. Is there a way we can do this here in New Hampshire? If so, why is it not being done? Are we not entitled to answers?

* Last but not least, remind Saudi Arabia in diplomatic terms just what the Carter Doctrine of January 23, 1980 asserts and what the later Reagan Corollary to the Carter Doctrine of October 1981 proclaims.

Heck, I don't have all the answers but at least I have recommendations, and I will no longer remain on the sidelines with those saying "oh isn't it awful." I truly believe a multi-faced approach can go far in solving our energy issues, but we need to get through some difficult political knotholes--ones that are predicated on the fast-deteriorating assumption that environmentalists know what is best for the United States. Indeed, I'm tired of flower children who whine but offer up nothing to resolve the crisis except rants, poems and other such nonsense. Still, as long as politicians fear their perceived wrath and hysterical predictions of another Exxon Valdez or China Syndrome, our energy policies will be tantamount to going to a gun fight armed with a cake knife.

You want to place blame, place it squarely on our government for failing to come up with a credible energy policy.

"At times in history when you have vast and impersonal forces wreaking havoc in markets, there is always a temptation to villainize someone. Centuries ago, it was Shylock; now it's the speculator and the short-seller." -- Ron Chernow, Business histroian

"When we went through the [oil] crisis [in the 70's], we thought US$30 oil was unbearable. Ironically, the steps that we proposed at the time, which were more or less accepted but never implemented, are still the steps people are talking about and are not yet implemented." --Henry Kissinger, June 11, 2008

A Review of Some Electric Energy Saving Tools

You're probably already doing the simple things to save energy, such as turning things off when you don't need them, but you might want to make more changes to reduce your energy consumption still further. If so, you're going to need the right tools for the job.

Energy Saving Light Bulbs

These are the environmentally friendly devices people tend to think of first, and with good reason. Switching from standard bulbs to energy efficient ones can end up with you using just a fifth of the electricity to meet your lighting needs, while the long life of most energy saving bulbs means that they're more than worth any extra cost.

Standby Saving Plugs

If you leave your computer on standby, then it's not only wasting electricity, it's also shortening the lifespan of the computer. Standby plugs work intelligently to cut power completely when the device is not in use, along with power to connected devices such as printers or scanners.

Low Water Use Kettles

Even if you're careful about not over filling your kettle, it can be hard to judge precisely how much water you need to use. Kettles designed with this in mind store water in a separate chamber, and release only the required amount into the boiling section of the device.

Solar or Wind Up Power

Sometimes, you can eliminate the use of mains electricity altogether. While it might be a little ambitious to cover your house in solar panels, using solar power on a smaller scale is both practical and cheap. Solar powered chargers will let you power up phones or other devices without the cost or electricity use of plugging into a mains socket. Alternatively, you could make use of wind up devices, requiring only a few seconds of effort on your part rather than a costly electricity bill. Radios, MP3 players and even battery chargers have all had the wind up treatment, so there's the potential for big energy savings no matter what you're doing.

Dryer Balls

Sometimes though, you just want a very simple solution. They don't come much simpler than dryer balls. Put in with your tumble dryer's normal load, they cut drying time by up to a quarter, saving all the electricity that would have been used in that time.

Energy Meters

How much electricity is that? Well, if you invest in an energy meter that gives you an accurate and continuous readout of your electricity use, you'll know precisely. Often the first step to making savings is knowing how much you're using.

Whatever energy saving tools you decide on, they don't require major changes. Instead, the best of them let you achieve noticeable electricity savings without you having to alter anything about your life. That has to be worth it.

A Review of Some Energy Saving Tools

If you are already turning out the lights when you leave the room, taking short showers while utilizing a water efficient shower head, putting in your energy saving light bulbs and insulating your home, then perhaps you can skip this article! This article if for those who are still a bit shy to the energy saving world as it will cover the benefits of doing the above mentioned things.

The use of energy saving light bulbs is as simple as it gets. These bulbs are environmentally friendly and can use less than a fifth of the energy traditional bulbs use. They are a bit more costly upfront, but they do not need to be replaced nearly as often, so they are, on average, actually less expensive than the others.

As for turning off lights and saving energy when electronics are not in use, that, too, is simple. A simple flip of the switch for one and the other only requires that you purchase a standby plug. The standby plugs work with your computer or other electronics (such as scanners, fax machines, printers, etc) to keep them from constantly pulling an excessive amount of energy. These plugs will completely shut the power off to the devices when they are not in use.

Taking shorter showers is also easy enough to do, but how about the small ways we use water every day. Have you ever overfilled your kettle? I know I have, but that no longer happens to me since I purchased a kettle that actually stores the water in a separate chamber than the boiler section. That sounds odd, I know, but it allows me to select the amount of water I want to heat and will heat only that amount. This saves water as well as the energy it takes to heat the unneeded water.

Something that is equally as simple as the kettle is solar power. I am not talking about surfacing your roof top with solar panels, but am referencing solar powered chargers for your mobile devices. Solar powered chargers are inexpensive and require no electricity at all to power thing from your cell phone to your MP3 player. In addition to solar energy there is wind up power (not wind as in the weather term, but wind as in turn). There are items such as wind up radios, wind up clocks, wind up remote controls - the list goes on and on. Did you know that 30 turns on a wind up remote control can power the remote for a week? How great is that - no more batteries!!

Lastly, an energy meter is a great way to start your energy efficient quest. These meters can be installed in your home to allow you to monitor your electricity usage at any given point. It is neat to see how much energy your washing machine uses verses how much energy your dishwasher uses! There are countless ways to save energy and this is definitely not a complete list, but it is a great place to start!

Evaluating Your Energy Balance

Entrepreneurs and small business owners take stock of your energy. Energy is one of three personal powers you have to shape your business and quality of life.

You know too well what happens financially when you consistently spend more than the business earns. Yes, you are heading for bankruptcy. Consistently spending more energy than you have is even more detrimental because you are heading for burnout. This comes at a high cost as it can erode your business success and your health. You may think this won't affect me because I do what I love. Well think again.

Today, burnout is seen across all professions. At high risk of burnout are people who have very high expectations of what can be accomplished, who are committed to a cause, and who are enthusiastic and energetic, buzzing with ideas. They are the idealists and high achievers, who are pulled forward by their passion and values. Their high standards are not negotiable. When the going gets tough and they are unable to achieve their goals, they work harder and harder. Giving up is not an option. Does this sound like you? If it does, take action today!

What can you do?

1. Review your Energy Balance Statement. Are you in a positive or negative energy balance?

2. How can you generate more energy?

3. How can you eliminate energy leaks?

As an astute entrepreneur and business owner, no doubt you can see the parallel to your Profit and Loss Statement.

If you want to increase your profits you need to create more revenue and also reduce expenses. And I make a distinction here between investment and expense. The former is essential for your business growth. The same applies to your energy management. I mentioned you have three personal powers. These are time, energy and money. We all have the same amount of time and how we spend our time will determine our outcome. When it comes to energy we are totally in charge of how we generate and manage our energy. And this will have a direct impact on how you manage your time and the money you generate from your business.

Time management is one of the most common training courses I am asked to run for small business owners and entrepreneurs. What we discover over and over again is that it is not about time management. At the core it is about personal energy management. And as with personal leadership, awareness must precede self-management.

5 Strategies for Personal Energy Management

As you implement the five strategies observe what happens to your energy level and how this impacts your business success and your quality of life. Like many small business owners and entrepreneurs, you will be amazed!

1. Make self-care your number one priority. Remind yourself continually that you must take care of yourself first if you are to be of use to others. This includes getting enough sleep, eating the right food, exercising and time out. Decide what enough sleep and the right food, exercising, and time out means for you.

2. Make time for things you love. This may include spending time with friends, meditating, or learning something new.

3. Keep your promises to yourself. It is a statement to yourself about your self-worth.

4. Take stock of your strengths and activities that energize you and those that drain your energy. Always aim for a positive energy balance.

5. Take stock of tolerations and eliminate them. Tolerations are things that drain your energy. Things you put up in your life that annoy you and cause you a great deal of stress. They can be small, or large. These may include: Being/feeling rushed; having money dictate lifestyle choices; People who don't treat you extremely well; Clients who consistently pay late; lack of systems; lack of training; a scarcity mindset and more.

Personal energy management is a life skill you can learn and develop. Through personal energy management you'll develop strength, clarity and connection of your body, mind and soul. As you connect with your personal resources you tune into your unique potential.

3 Mind Tools For Unmarked Potential

The best way to describe it is to picture yourself breaking free of your current limited comfort zone. Your potential resides up in the clouds and your current level of function is on the mere surface level.

So how do you break free of the shackles holding you down. Your first step is allowing your mind to be fully receptive to liberation, abundance and learn how to fully turn on your brain to allow for total stimulation. The fact is that you currently use a tiny fraction of your brain and are subject to a very limited portion of whats truly available to you. Think about what you are missing out on because of this. Better yet, what do all the people who do experience heightened stimulation see and experience that you don't? It's time to help you achieve peak experience and never miss another beat. Be at the height of your capabilities and reap the rewards.

1. Start to engage in daily practice of whole brain thinking. There are many ways to trigger this type of thinking. Asking yourself many questions that correspond to both sides of your brain will start to synchronize both sides. For example, asking yourself calculation questions, to prioritize a list of thi9ngs you have to do, benefits of choosing one phone plan over another, etc. Stimulate your left analytical/logical reasoning brain. Asking questions like: What's your favorite color? Or, what kind of music do you enjoy? Or maybe, what you feel like eating?

These all exercise your right brain. Being conscious of the questions you ask and what part of the brain they correspond to will enable you to engage in full stimulation of your mental ability.

2. From years of conditioning and limiting beliefs we tend to hold on to highly useless, meaningless and counter-productive thoughts, emotions. So much so that it can actually sabotage our own success. To experience the full benefits of real mind power, it is extremely essential to free the mind of any blocked, negative energy. EFT(emotional freedom technique), hypnosis and NLP are 3 techniques to deliver extremely liberating and self-empowering benefits. With these 3 tools you literally create a vacuum sucking out all the limitations and creating major leverage through powerful belief re patterning.

3. Equip your mind with the most powerful tool for learning amazing brain power with memory training. Memory training is the most powerful way to maximize your brain potential. Learn numerous tested methods that have shocking stimulatory effects on the brain.

You cannot go wrong with these 3 techniques I have just described. If it is peak performance and being able to look down from high above then start applying these regularly.

Pay VERY Close Attention: The Following course will give you techniques and guide you through to HIGHEST BRAIN POTENTIAL: http://expandyourmemory.blogspot.com/

Forms of Renewable Energy

When you think about the natural things around us a couple of things come to mind. First, you have the sun that continues to shine brightly in the sky day after day. It gives off a great deal of heat which can be converted into energy. The sun shines brightly some days and then is covered with clouds other days. So the amount of energy you can collect each day is going to vary.

Next, you have water which covers the majority of the surface of the Earth. There is also the additional moisture and rainfall that can be collected as time goes by. There is energy found in the water as it moves along and this can be converted into energy at hydropower plants, and also by using the power of the waves to generate other forms of energy.

Even if it is just barely there on certain days, you also have the wind. In some areas it is extremely windy all the time. In order for the equipment used to create wind power to be worth the cost it must be blowing most days at a speed of at least 15 miles per hour.

Most people view that as a nuisance but they do not realize the full potential of it. They are not really aware that the wind that is all around you can be used to create renewable energy. It is also very clean for the environment so you do not have to worry about negative effects from it.

Biofuel is also a source of renewable energy and the one most people know the least about. This concept involves using types of materials that you can burn to create energy. This can be left over paper and wood, trash, and even manure from animals.

It is quite an interesting concept and one you will want to be sure you read about. You can be sure this is one area of renewable energy that will continue to grow by leaps and bounds in the next decade. Do not underestimate how valuable it can be as it also removes waste from our environment. This type of renewable energy is scientific in nature and one that has been around the least amount of time.

The area where you are living, will have a great deal to say about the types of renewable energy that are available to you. The renewable energy process is a growing technology and as better ideas and methods are put into practice, the more renewable energy sources will become available to us all.

Alternative Energy For the Homeowner

With gas reserves plummeting and oil prices soaring, there is only one direction that energy prices are going to go, and that is up. With a credit crunch and a potential recession, there is no better time than now to develop alternative energy sources for you home. And not only will you see your energy bills drop, but the environment benefits as well.

Turning first to the environmental benefits, alternative energy sources tend to contribute far less to the greenhouse effect which is causing global warming. As a result, if you have enough wind in your area to make building a wind generator a viable source of energy then doing so will lead to direct benefits for the environment. The same is true for areas such as Arizona which receive many days of glorious sunlight each year. If people in areas such as those knew how to build wind generators or solar panels imagine the effect this would have on their personal finances as well as the environment.

Perhaps you think that doing something in your little corner of the world can't possibly make a difference but if more and more homes make the switch to alternative energy sources then this can be a real solution. The choice really boils down to whether you want to become part of the solution or remain part of the problem.

On a slightly more influential level, bearing in mind the state of the economy, there are the great financial benefits to living off the grid. The first obvious benefit of producing you're own power through alternative energy sources is that your fuel and electricity bills drop dramatically. Second, if you produce enough electricity and use energy efficient appliances at home you can even send some of that electricity back to the grid.

This is why resources such as DIY Energy are so valuable. By telling you exactly how to create your own alternative energy sources for the lowest possible cost the site really bridges the gap and makes generating your own power at home a real possibility.

Decide Now to Unleash Your Potential

I truly believe that we all have an insurmountable potential. I also think that we often settle for what is comfortable. Why? Perhaps we appreciate the sense of 'safety' we get from being relatively stable. Also, we often believe what someone has told us at one point or another, disparaging comments that put us down so often, that we don't know how to get up. Whatever the reason, I have seen how people come from nowhere to reach and achieve more than anyone could even imagine. How? There are times in life when we face those barriers and we simply say "enough."

While many of us have learned to live within certain boundaries, on what I call a cocoon zone, I want to speak today to those that although living a relatively good and peaceful life, they know deep inside that there has to be more to it. The first concept I want to bring up to your attention is that in order to break out of that zone, you have to be ready, willing and open. Your mind must be open to learning and developing and realizing that you have what it takes to do it what you want.

"Minds are like parachutes - they only function when open." ~Thomas Dewar.

In order to get to that point, I would encourage you to take time every day for the next week or so and reconnect with what matters to you. Think long and heavy about what it means to you to live fully. Not to others, not trying to fit in and not concerned about what others might say or think. When you are able to find that passion, you are then on your way to unleash your potential.

Unleash...synonym of 'let loose,' 'set free,' and 'allow to run riot'. To me unleashing means to let go of, releasing and just experiencing that feeling of no restraints. When you apply that concept into your life and your potential, then we could say that unleashing your potential refers to a state of letting go of the restraints that have limited you this far. And the great thing is, that there has never been a better time. With everything happening around us in the world, this is the perfect time to making that determination to fulfill your potential, on your own terms.

If you are ready to let go of anything that has hold you back until now, if you are making a commitment to make changes that will propel you and your life to a new level, I support you!

Here are my top 5 ideas on how to unleash your potential once and for all:

1. Connect within. By this I mean to work on a personal mission and vision statements for your life. Declare your intentions for what you want in life, both at personal and professional levels. Writing a mission statement is a tool used by organizations as it serves as a clear, public statement of why you exist and why you do what you do. Your vision statement outlines your big view, the big panoramic picture of what you what it to be for you and in your world.

My personal mission statement is "to support and empower individuals to create the life they love, one day at a time."

2. Identify your strengths and your areas of growth. Part of creating any plan for self-development includes a thorough assessment of what do we do well (you can put your gifts and talents to work in other areas) as well as those areas where we know we can improve some. By knowing and affirming the things you do well, you can take those as weapons to be used in two ways: a. challenging situations and b. where can you can use them more often?

3. Be true to your passions. It doesn't matter whether you have done it before, know how to do it, or think it is not possible. Your passions are the fuel for the gas tank. When you are true and decide to pursue your passions, really nothing can stand on your way because it becomes your source of energy, your motivation.

4. Be merciless. Once you know where you are going, you must commit. There are no ifs, buts or ands. Truth is that we often get on our way. We make excuses for getting sidetracked, and for not keeping up with the priorities you have set for yourself. Be brutally committed to your plan and besides the typical obstacles, you will be able to overcome.

5. Create a strategy. A life without a plan is like getting in a car without a destination. Sometimes, that might be fun but for the most part you want to be heading in the direction that is going to lead you to achieve those things you want in life. Develop a map of how to get from here to there.

I truly believe that it is critical to make the decision to embark on that journey to achieve our maximum potential. If we don't do it, no one else will because nobody can make that decision for us. You know you have so much to offer, isn't it time you make the determination to unleash that potential once and for all? Not to mention, imagine how great you will feel, how significant your life will be as you take the steps necessary to get what you want, how empowered you will be because once you start completing some of those tasks, you will be excited and ready for more, so yeah...what are you waiting for? It is within reach, your reach.

If you are stuck in a place where you can't get out. If you know that there is more to life and you want to experience it. If you know that the world will be a better place if you were able to do and to contribute more, but are not sure how to start, working with a Personal Development Coach might be just what you need.

Energy Performance Certificates - Are They a Waste of Energy?

When EPC's were first launched for HIPS, many people in the Property Industry were of the mind that:

a) they are pointless and purchaser's or tenants won't look at them

b) just another hassle for Estate Agents, Vendors and Landlords to get over and

c) adding more cost the Homeowner.

Of course, this is only my opinion however, I would suggest that these thoughts are shared by at least half the UK population!

What are EPC's really all about? Do we really understand what the Government is trying to achieve. The answer I guess would be... no.

Direct.gov.uk states that "Buildings produce nearly half of the UK's carbon emissions! That's almost twice that of cars and planes. The way a building is constructed, insulated, heated, ventilated and the type of fuel used, all contribute to its carbon emissions."

If you think about it from a global perspective, the daunting facts about global warming is a serious issue and it is about time someone starts to act on it! Having done a little research into our current climate changes, my opinions about EPC's have changed, or at least, I try to see them from a different perspective.

The only difficulty now, is trying to change the perception of the Industry to actually act on the EPC's rather than seeing then as another "Tick in the Box" when renting a property.

A couple of facts regarding EPC's:

Energy Performance Certificates (EPC) are now considered mandatory for all property to rent as from the 1st October 2008.

The Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) was introduced to provide Landlords with property to let, Home Owners, Tenants and Buyers of property with information relating to the energy efficiency of a property. The property will be graded on its standard energy and carbon emission efficiency and will receive an energy rating grade from 'A' - the most efficient through to 'G'. A grading of 'D' will be an average rating.

What do EPC's mean for Landlords?

Landlords will be able to make changes to the property to let based on the recommendations of the EPC report. The report will include information for the Landlord such as:

o suggested improvements (such as fitting loft insulation)

o the approximate cost of such improvements

o possible cost savings per year if the improvements are made

o how this would change the energy and carbon emission rating of the property

Landlords can use this information to:

o Encourage Tenants to rent property based on potentially lower fuel costs

o Cut your own fuel costs or standing charges for vacant properties

o Improve energy performance in your house or flat to rent

o Help cut carbon emissions from your property

Landlords are not required to act on the recommendations suggested from the report however, in order to promote the attractiveness of a property to let, a more energy efficient property should encourage price conscious tenants to make further enquiries.

All Landlords who rent property will be required to make the EPC available to prospective tenants the first time you let a property after the 1st of October 2008.

An EPC is only required for a property which is self-contained, and will be valid for 10 years.

An EPC is not required when a tenant rents a room and shares facilities.

What do EPC's mean for Tenants?

The energy efficiency of a property to let is measured by using the same calculations for all homes, houses and flats to rent. This allows Tenants to make an informed decision when they come to selecting a property to rent. A higher energy efficient property may be cheaper to run when calculating the cost of heating and fuel bills.

As a tenant, if you are interested in renting a property then an EPC must be made available to you free of charge by either the Landlord or the Letting Agent.

An EPC is only required for a rental property which is self-contained, and is valid for 10 years.

An EPC isn't required when you rent a room and share facilities.

Who is required to have an EPC?

The EPC is required by law when a building is constructed, sold or put up for rent.

EPC's only apply to England and Wales. Northern Ireland and Scotland are producing their own regulations.

How Soon Will Saudi Arabia Turn to Nuclear Energy?

While a growing number of countries have announced their civilian nuclear energy ambitions over the past twelve months, no other country is likely to have more of a psychological impact on the nuclear energy picture than Saudi Arabia. We believe the Kingdom's natural gas and water problems will lead them to nuclear, sooner rather than later, probably as early as this year.

After our interview with Kevin Bambrough, which resulted in the widely read article, 'Explosion in Nuclear Energy Demand Coming," we began more deeply researching Bambrough's conclusion. He believes the overwhelming growth in nuclear energy will continue to drive the uranium bull market much higher than is suspected. He believes the uranium renaissance has gone beyond the envelope of just a mining inventory shortage. We researched this further during the course of our investigation into uranium and geopolitics. We were surprised by what we discovered, and continue to be stunned by how accurate Mr. Bambrough's forecast is likely to play out. We included the special sub-section, which follows, in our soon-to-be-published, A Practical Investor's Guide to Uranium Stocks. Below is a sneak preview.

An April 2006 UPI news item confirmed what many have long believed. It won't be long before Saudi Arabia launches a nuclear project. Kuwaiti researcher Abdullah al-Nufaisi told seminar attendees in Qatar that Saudi Arabia is preparing a nuclear program. He said the government was being urged to launch a nuclear project by Saudi scientists, but had not yet received the blessing by the royal family. Social, not energy, issues could help the Saudi royals embark on a large-scale nuclear program.

Of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's 24 million subjects, more than 40 percent are under 18 years of age. While still manageable, the country's infrastructure is not prepared to deal with its explosive population growth. The two biggest problems facing Saudi Arabia are potential water and electricity shortages. True, its super oilfields may also have peaked in production and might move into tertiary recovery, but that is unknown. An Islamic revolution, similar to what Iran suffered in the 1970s is probably foremost in the King's mind. Civil unrest might come about should his subjects suffer from insufficient electricity and inadequate water supplies. One need only look at the widespread electricity shortages Syria experienced in the 1980s and early 1990s.

As reported in the October 14, 2004 issue of Arab Oil and Gas, the Saudis lag well behind Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates in per capita energy consumption. The rate of natural gas consumption, which produces Saudi's electricity, increased less than Egypt and Syria. Total energy consumption dropped by 3.5 percent in 1999 and 2000.

The internationally heralded "Gas Initiative" of 1998 was the Kingdom's attempt to lure major western oil companies back into the country to help develop its natural gas reserves. After major oil companies spent $100 million in due diligence to evaluate the Saudi natural gas reserves, the initiative quietly dropped off the world's radar screen. A Shell Oil executive, whose company is exploring for gas in the country's Empty Quarter, told Bloomberg Daily Energy News that this was a high-risk venture with a low probability of finding sizeable reserves. In Matthew Simmons' Twilight of the Desert, he repeated what he was told by an anonymous senior oil executive, "The reservoirs are crummy."

The Saudis need water and electricity to match their population growth. Nuclear energy is likely to be the solution to both those problems. Continued dependence upon natural gas may prove a fatal economic and social error for the royal family. Our research forecasts the Saudis should announce a large-scale civilian nuclear energy program in the near future.

Let's discuss the water problem first. In a 2002 story reported in the Oil & Gas Journal, Saudi Arabia's 30 desalination plants produce about 21 percent of the world's total desalinated water production. Nearly 70 percent of the local water drunk in cities comes from desalinated sea water. As the population grows, Saudi Arabia may spend another $40 billion to build more desalination plants.

Half of the world's desalination plants are in the Middle East. Most are powered by fossil fuels, especially natural gas. Converting sea water to potable water is energy intensive. The commonly used desalination method of multi-stage flash (MSF) distillation with steam requires heat at 70 to 130 degrees centigrade and consumes up to 200 kilowatt hours of electricity for every cubic meter of water (about 264 gallons). MSF is the most popular technology, but some are turning to reverse osmosis (RO). RO consumes about 6 kilowatt hours of electricity for every cubic meter of water.

Desalination is very expensive. The cost to generate this electricity through natural gas explains why Saudi Arabia spends about $4 billion in operating and annual maintenance costs.

There are numerous precedents in combining water desalination with nuclear energy for electrical generation. The World Nuclear Association highlights the BN-350 fast reactor in Kazakhstan, which has produced 135 MWe of electricity and 80,000 cubic meters per day of potable water for nearly 30 years. In Japan, ten desalination facilities are linked to pressurized water reactors producing electricity. The International Atomic Energy Agency is working closely with about 20 countries to implement dual-use nuclear reactors, which would also desalinate water.

According to the World Nuclear Association's website, "Small and medium sized nuclear reactors are suitable for desalination, often with cogeneration of electricity using low-pressure steam from the turbine and hot sea water feed from the final cooling system. The main opportunities for nuclear plants have been identified as the 80-100,000 m3/day and 200-500,000 m3/day ranges."

There are numerous examples of nuclear desalination being considered. In 1977, Iran's Bushehr nuclear facility was to also have a 200,000 cubic meter/day MSF desalination plant. Construction delays, and the subsequent Islamic revolution, prevented this from occurring. Perhaps when Iran commences its civilian nuclear program, the desalination plant will be revived. China is reviewing the feasibility of a nuclear seawater desalination plant in the Yantai area. Russia has advanced a nuclear desalination project with barge-mounted marine reactors using Canadian reverse-osmosis technology. India has begun operating a nuclear desalination demonstration plant at the Madras Atomic Power Station in southeast India. Another one may soon follow in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu, which perpetually suffers from water shortages. Pakistan continues its efforts to set up a demonstration desalination plant. South Korea has developed a small nuclear reactor design for cogeneration of electricity and water. It may first be tested on Madura Island in Indonesia. Argentina has also developed a small nuclear reactor design for electricity cogeneration or solely for desalination.

The Saudis have investigated dual use for nearly thirty years. Since 1978, Saudi scientists have studied nuclear desalination plants in Kazakhstan and Japan. Both studies positively assessed the feasibility of bringing the first dual-use nuclear reactor in Saudi Arabia. Since the mid 1980s, scientists and researchers at the Saudi's Nuclear Engineering Department at King Abdulaziz University, the College of Engineering at the University of Riyadh, the Chemical Engineering Department of King Saud University, and the Atomic Energy Research Institute have researched and evaluated nuclear desalination. Saudi scientists presented their paper, entitled, 'Role of Nuclear Desalination in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,' at the First International Conference on Nuclear Desalination in Morocco in October 2002.

The country possesses a tandetron accelerator and a cyclotron capable of isotope production for medical purposes. Saudi's nuclear scientists have been involved with many countries to help their country develop a bonafide nuclear energy program. In late March 2006, a German magazine reported Saudi Arabia has been secretly working on a nuclear program with help from Pakistani scientists. Ironically, many believe Saudi Arabia helped finance Pakistan's nuclear program. Because Saudi scientists lack the proven experience of the entire nuclear fuel cycle, Pakistan's expertise, over the past decade, could help accelerate the Kingdom's pursuit of a civilian nuclear program.

While lacking proven uranium deposits, the country's Tabuk region has low-grade amounts of uranium and thorium. However, Saudi Arabia has significant phosphate deposits, which some believe could be exploited. The country's two largest deposits reportedly measure about 750 million metric tons, averaging between 19 and 21 percent P2O5. Mined by the Saudi Arabian Mining Company and the Saudi Basic Industrial Corporation, fertilizer plants at the Al Jubail Industrial City produce about 4.5 metric tons of P2O5 annually. While extraction of uranium from phosphates can be an expensive proposition, the phosphates could provide a ready supply of uranium for the country's nuclear desalination plants. Then, it would be a matter of uranium enrichment, of which both the Russians and the French would be scrambling to provide the Kingdom.

While the Saudi program may not directly impact world uranium prices, the Kingdom's decision to advance its nuclear program, beyond the research and medical stage, would signal the entire world that nuclear energy programs will be a primary growth sector for the next fifty to one hundred years. Should the Saudis also commence desalination projects using dual-use nuclear reactors, this could change the entire landscape of the water situation for the Middle East as well as Africa. And it would most likely spark a significant stampede of the Kingdom's neighbors into the global nuclear renaissance.

Building Affordable Home Solar Energy Systems

Today, many people believe that home solar energy is only useful if it is turned into electricity. At the same time, they may be missing an enormous number of methods for reducing the cost of energy in their home. Among other things, you do not need a photovoltaics panel in order to use passive solar heating systems, and many other devices.

Over the years, many books have been written on solar systems and how to build them. Even if you are not a contractor, you can study these books and purchase affordable materials. As an example, you may want to design a home cooling system. Irregardless of whether you make changes to your roof, or build a dessication system, you can take advantage of many different solar devices.

As you study these systems, you are bound to learn a great deal about materials that collect heat as well as ones that distribute it. Depending on your interests and inclinations, you may even see the potential for building a completely new product. Considering the slow rate of progress in solar energy devices, you may even find that you can obtain a patent and start your own business. As more people turn to solar products in order to seek relief from egregious fuel bills, you may find that you will be able to build a healthy trade.

Unfortunately, many houses were not built with solar energy methods in mind. That said, you can obtain renovation grants that will help you incorporate a wide range of systems. In addition, if you are planning to build a new home, this will be the perfect opportunity to make sure that your home and property are as energy efficient as possible. That said, if you buy property or a home in a community that will supply an underground thermal system, you may save as much as 50% of your current energy expenses.

Aside from this, you can use some very simple forms of technology to save money on energy every single day. In particular, you may want to build a solar cooker. For less than $10.00, you can purchase a cardboard box, tin foil, glue, poster board, mason jars, oven bags, and black spray paint. Surprisingly enough, you can build a perfectly functional solar cooker with these minimal items. If you live in Arizona, or other warm climates, you may even find that you will not need to use anything else for cooking food.

For the most part, you will find that residential solar energy technologies span a wide range of methods, products, and devices. Irregardless of where you choose to begin working with home solar energy, your ultimate goal should be complete independence from commercial energy sources. In many cases, you will find that this particular goal is more achievable than you realize. With just a little bit of research, you may even discover that you can spend less than $20.00 and still cut your energy bills by a significant amount.

The Powers of The Mind - How to Get Rid of Your Limiting Beliefs

We can learn to tap into the power of the mind and use it to achieve nearly anything in life. What is important is to start small and then work your way up to ever bigger and better things until you've accomplished everything you want to in life. Not many people realize that to develop the skills for logical reasoning and problem-solving is not the only boundary to the powers of the mind. What shows that this is a really powerful mind is the capability to tap into the infinite potentials of our subconscious awareness. When you undergo a few sessions of mind training you will notice a gradual improvement in your emotional state and begin to unlock the secrets of the power of the mind. Here's how you can do it in brief:

Practice creative visualization, determine a goal, fantasy or desire about what you want to achieve in order to enhance your life.
Sit back, relax, close your eyes and fantasize about the goal you just set up.

In this way we can attract more of the same thought vibrations of people, circumstances, things, and events that are in sync with our own desires. This Mind Method work by helping you achieve focused concentration and desire on what you want, hence be able to harness the power of the mind and focus it to get what you want within minutes. Do not sabotage yourself unconsciously; just give yourself a fighting chance to achieve your deepest desires. You need to find out how to use the gifts your brain and body were given so that these desires become a reality. So if by any chance your life experiences did not result into the desired outcome, then obviously, it is time to try something new and make that necessary change.

The change should come after discovering and learning how to reprogram the power of the subconscious mind in order to start making a conscious effort to utilize it. This is magnetic because you become compelled to achieve the things you truly desire. Otherwise, if the conscious mind is attempting to think positive thoughts while the subconscious retains a negative energy the two will cancel each other out, and the desired effect will not be achieved. If we direct our thought energy to be in sync with the energy vibrations of that which we desire, then that object of our desire will be attracted to us.

We can break free of all those restrictive beliefs that continually pester us and enjoy our sources of abundant love, joy, creativity - all those things that our heart truly desires.

Going Green Lifestyle - Alternative Energy Sources

The need for alternative energy sources is nothing new but in this present time, the need is urgent on a global level. People and governments are reeling from the impact of the startling rise in energy costs and alarmed at the many dangers posed by environmental problems.

Across history, we have seen change in the kinds of energies used. As early as the 1200s, people swapped wood for coal as deforestation occurred locally. 300 years later, societies then depended on petroleum after depleting the supply of whale oil used to fuel lamps. In the early 1900s, corn-based ethanol oil supplied the demand for energy.

When the world started to run on wheels and navigate the skies and seas, the need for fuel increased, eventually drying up local oil wells. As a result, the US turned to importing oil to keep transportation, industry, and domestic needs moving, eventually relying so heavily on foreign oil that 58% of its supply is now imported.

According to the latest statistics from the US government, global energy consumption is still increasing and by 2030, it's expected that the world will require 700 quadrillion BTU in order to keep running.

Switch or Stay?

Besides the depletion of our natural energy resources, across the globe, people are also feeling the effects of the increasing cost of electricity and the rising cost of living expenses. On the home front, this poses a dilemma, as family needs are a priority, and electricity certainly qualifies as a basic need.

So what are the alternatives to providing the basics, yet still offer affordability?

As a result, many people are seeing "green". The green movement is tapping alternative energy sources instead of relying too much on utility companies for energy needs. Alternative sources of energy provide renewable sources for your electricity needs at the fraction of the cost of utility-supplied energy.

The switch to alternative sources of energy will take time to put into action across the country but as the energy landscape changes, more homes and industries will be using alternative energy. likely triggering the decline of over-dependence on imported oil. This will be good for economies dependent on expensive imported oil, like the United States.

These are very good reasons for evaluating alternative energy sources NOW.

To get started, assess which alternative source of energy is best for your needs - solar, geothermal or wind energy options.

Popular Forms of Alternative Energy Sources

Solar energy is a favorite renewable energy alternative for domestic energy. This option uses photovoltaic technology to convert sunlight into electrical energy. Solar panels alone produce hot water and steam. Combined, these technologies provide optimum energy to power homes. Solar energy has very low levels of carbon dioxide emissions compared to gasoline emissions of the same chemical compound that is partly to blame for climate change.

For geothermal energy, the earth's heat is tapped to supply energy needs. To trap this energy, holes are drilled deep to the level where a potential geothermal heat spot is present. The escaping steam is directed into a turbine linked to a running generator, which converts steam to electricity. This is the preferred method for large industry and utility companies.

The homeowner, however, need not dig so far to enjoy the benefits of geothermal energy. The geothermal heat pump uses the stable ground temperature a few hundred feet under the ground to provide you with heat and air conditioning. It can also provide you with hot water.

Wind energy is converted to electricity with the use of wind turbines. Wind power produces a minimal 1.5 per cent of the world's electricity. Currently, this is a popular alternative energy source in Denmark, Germany, Spain and Portugal.

Choosing Your Alternative Energy Source

Keep in mind that it is not cheap to install solar panels or invest in geothermal or wind energy - it will depend too on the volume of electricity you need to power your home - but the rewards later on will last a lifetime. You may also be eligible for a federal tax credit, if you're a US resident, but many governments around the world are offering incentives to residents to convert to renewable energy sources.

Talk to alternative energy merchants and ask them to help you make the transition from utility supplied energy to alternative energy source today.

Golf Energy For Focus And Concentration

Ok all you couch potatoes. I know you're only mildly interested in this area. But I've got to write a few things here to help you out. First off, to reiterate what I said on the CD's,

WHATEVER YOU DO GOOD FOR YOUR BODY IS STILL GOOD, no matter how little.

You don't have to be a world class athlete to play good golf. You don't even have to be in shape to play your best, of course that would help. What I really want you to get out of this letter today is the fact that every little thing you do helps and here's why:

It's the 17th hole and even though you're riding in a cart, you are starting to get just a bit tired. Your attention is off just a hair as you crack another joke to your partner or golf buddies/gals. That's excellent and that's why we come out to golf right? Great!

But, you're still chuckling about that last one about the frog on the man's head in the bar and it's now your turn to tee off. You try to get into your pre-shot routine but it just seems so pointless now as you have played pretty well up to this point and you think "so what if I don't do my practice swing the same way I've done it this round so far." And you step up to the ball and take a big swing and the little white orb goes flying out of bounds with a big fat slice on it.

You cuss yourself out for being so stupid and not concentrating on that last shot. You tee up another one and it hooks into the trees on the other side as you overcompensate for the slice. When you get to the ball, it's right behind a tree and because you are so angry with yourself and figure you need to "make up" those shots, you go for a small gap in the trees .

You know "the rest of the story" as Paul Harvey would say as you end up carding a triple or quadruple bogey on that hole. You play the 18th hole o.k. and when you add up your score, you find that all you had to do on 17 was to bogey and you'd have broken your scoring barrier.

One swing is all it takes! One little mental lapse about doing your preshot routine focused and in the zone like you did all day is all it was. One swing can turn a score sour like in the blink of an eye. You can't afford to be lazy for one moment on a round that you care about your score. If you want to go drink beer and just have fun, great! Do it! And don't even bother scoring if you have a few bad holes because it will just ruin the fun anyway. I sometimes do this myself.

So what could our serious golfer have done different to have kept his/her energy level high for maximum, sustained focus and concentration? Lots of things...

1. If you care about your score, keep the alcohol to a minimum

2. Drink lots of water. That tired feeling is most likely dehydration

3. Don't eat candy or other processed sugar products during a round, you'll get a quick high and then a very low blood sugar drop soon after. Don't drink fruit juices either, they have too much sugar even if natural. Chips and pretzels do the same thing.

4. Eat complex carbs like an apple, nuts, or a light sandwich during the round to keep your energy up and constant. Do the hot dog after the round if at all possible, it will sap your energy if you eat on at the turn.

5. If you only exercise once in a while, do it a couple days before golf so that your body can repair itself.

6. If you drink lots of caffeine regularly in your coffee, tea or sodas, then make sure you get some in you before you golf otherwise you'll probably have an energy dropoff from withdrawal of it. If you don't do caffeine much, definitely don't do it around golf time.

7. Get the right amount of sleep for you the night before. Not too much and not too little.

8. Turn the cell phone off when you come to the course. It will sap your focus and concentration just knowing that it could go off during the round. Be in the moment and enjoy the game.

9. Movement begets more energy. It doesn't take it away, it gives you more in the long run. Any kind of movement and activity. Park your car in the farthest place in the parking lot at work. Take the stairs instead of the elevator when you're not in a hurry. Walk briskly on your lunch break wherever you are going. Close your office door and run in place for a few minutes or do it when you are watching TV at night. Be creative and force yourself to do something.

The small easy things I've mentioned might even lead you to do more, who knows?

10. Listen to music that pumps you up before a round if you're feeling low. Sing it throughout the round!

It's a fact: energy is stored and regulated in your unconscious mind. When you are really up for unleashing it to it's fullest, then it's time to work on that part of your mind that contains the 90% unused potential I keep talking about and teaching folks how to access.

Energy Renovation For Your Home - What To Do When Feng Shui Fails

Does your home feel like a harmonious sanctuary? Do you feel relaxed at home? This is what your home has the potential of offering you. If your home does not feel relaxing, you may think that the obvious contributing factors are things like clutter, the décor being contrary to your personal tastes, or the home being in various stages of disrepair. This is often not the case. If you have tried changing the overall appearance of your home, but still did not get the result you wanted, there may be more in the energy field that you do not know about.

Vibrational Residue

Emotions from the builder and/or past residents are recorded in the building materials. Much like music vibration that was recorded on vinyl LPs, the emotions of people as expressed in daily events are also recorded into the solid matter such as building materials, furniture, and books. Some people are more sensitive to these vibrations than others. If you are sensitive, these emotional residues can be a source of lingering distress for you.

Traumatic events that happened at any point in time can have a significant influence on the energy of the space as well. If there has been a death, robbery, violence or trauma of any kind, the energy of the space will most definitely include these vibrations until they are intentionally removed.

Ways to Remove Emotional Residue

Traditional shamanic practice uses burning sage to cleanse the energy of a space. You may find sage at Whole Foods or most metaphysical bookstores. Use a small bowl or shell to catch any embers. When you light the sage, let the flame burn for a few seconds, then gently blow it out. The leaves will continue to glow red and release smoke. As you walk around the area, wave the sage along the walls and corners. Intend to cleanse and release emotional residue and bring forth a loving and soothing energy. Coming from the heart, say any prayer of healing or protection that feels most appropriate. The most important part of the process is the intention. You can follow with opening a window to let fresh air circulate throughout.

You may also use a combination of Epsom salts and 90% rubbing alcohol. Pour the salt into a fireproof flat bottomed container at least 8"x 8" and about ½ inch deep. Use just enough alcohol to dampen the salt. Caution! The container will get hot. Keep hair and clothing out of the way. Be sure to place the container on a heat resistant surface like a stove and away from all flammable materials. Set the salt/alcohol on fire. Allow the flame to continue burning until it goes out by itself. As the fire burns, visualize an intense purifying white/violet light going out in all directions. Repeat the process as needed.

It may be necessary to hire a professional intuitive that can pinpoint the event and the vibration to remove it. Other energy interferences may include the following:

Underground elements include boulders, mineral mines, rivers, lakes, and emotional residue of historical events such as plagues, natural disasters, or burial grounds.
Energy vortexes on ground level or in mid-air, whether it be outside or inside your home, very often create energy imbalances.
Neighboring structural beam lines or those in your own house can project a laser like energy that disturbs your peace. In the city or within suburban subdivisions where houses are located very close to one another, beam line influences can be a problem.
High tension power lines or transformers carry a very strong resonance. It has been documented to influence human health.
Traffic movement adjacent to the property can have a significant impact, particularly when the traffic is directed towards the property.
Energy portals are hotspots that are accessible from multiple dimensions. They are commonly used for inter-dimensional travel by beings of other realms or by humans who have capability for mind/astral travel.
Spirits (non-physical beings) in other dimensions can co-occupy the same space with us. Depending on the kinds of beings, some may appear hostile if treated harshly, while some are actually beneficial for our well-being.

These are influences that traditional Feng Shui practices will not be able to resolve. It is very important to consult an experienced, intuitive Energy Renovation Professional for effective solutions. Doing so can bring peace and tranquility to your life, while putting a smile on your face!

Night Curtains Reduce Energy Consumption And Help To Lower Your Energy Bill

With the rising cost of energy there is a greater emphasis on reducing energy consumption and looking for healthier, "greener" alternatives.

When we think of doing our part we look at it individually but we also look to the larger corporations and organizations to set the industry standard. They are our role models and we look to them for guidance and ideas.

A variety of supermarkets, grocery stores and independent retailers have been working hard to lower their energy consumption and their impact on the environment in many ways. One of the most successful projects that department managers and store engineers have been focusing on has been the installation of a night cover on their refrigerated display cases.

Read more about the benefits of installing night covers and their application potential http://www.econofrost.com/

The impact of installing a night cover is huge, not only does it help to reduce energy consumption but it helps to lessen the load on the expensive operating systems of the refrigeration unit like the compressor.

Would you leave your fridge door open all night long?

Of course not.

But that's exactly what is happening in thousands of supermarkets and grocery stores across North America. With the increased focus on incorporating green products and methods there is hope as one company emerges with the concept in mind to help these organizations reduce their overall energy consumption and save money!

Econofrost's woven aluminum night cover helps to reflect the warm ambient air that circulates within the stores aisles and keeps the cooler air inside the refrigerated display case. This helps to regulate the temperature inside the display case and allows for a more efficient operating refrigeration system.

The amount of energy used to keep perishable products cool and unspoiled adds up to quite a large amount, especially when you look at it from a dollar and cents perspective like a grocery store chain. More consumers and state areas are putting more pressure on their local supermarkets to incorporate greener technologies which is evident as we see stores turning away from using plastic bags, to elaborate store designs that are certified as "green."

This increased attention will not change anytime soon but will only pick up more momentum as energy costs increase and resources are depleted. In the meantime many large and independent retailers are starting to make the necessary changes by installing energy saving products like night covers. One of the major supporters of installing night covers is the local utility providers, who have included night covers for possible rebates upon installation. This is a great incentive for many retailers looking for more energy efficient ways to support their business.

Have You Missed the Boat With Your Energy MLM?

That is a scary question.

One that has been lingering and growing (festering) in many peoples minds. For most folks involved with an Energy MLM a large portion of them got "hooked" when one or several of the companies (Ignite Energy, Ambit Energy, Viridian Energy, Stream Energy to name a few) opened up in a new state or region of a state. It all seemed brand new, the possibilities, the territory, the potential.

MLM Realities

But along the way some things started to happen. First, the inevitable, the realization that MLM is simple but not as easy as you first expected. I am with you there, how can any sane person not SEE this thing?

So the warm market got exhausted, and if you were "lucky" you got a few customers. Funny how when push comes to shove, the hated electric company with its higher rates is such a hard sell. Now you had to turn to different ways to fill your lead pipeline. And that opened up...

A whole new world of disbelief and feelings of betrayal.

A simple search on the internet reveals there are HUNDREDS of Energy MLM companies other than yours (ok, slight exaggeration, but that's what you felt), that have been in your state longer (how come I didn't hear about it then?, when the getting was good you think).

You then notice there are MILLIONS of distributors with your company and others (again, slight exaggeration, but that's what you felt). And to top it all off, being in the "Energy MLM" business you have certain advertising restrictions. You cannot just put up a web page advertising for customers, like you can with other Network Marketing companies (Did I choose the right industry?)

So now the effort becomes a little less, the initial easy as cake road to riches is starting to look like a climb up a cliff in wintertime, during a blizzard, etc. You still see the brilliance of the MLM concept, the way to developing residual income, earning some fast cash, but now, maybe, we need to find a "better" Network Marketing opportunity, you saw THOUSANDS on the internet (strangely, I'm not exaggerating now).

Perhaps, if I just start over with all I have learned with the MNO company...

STOP!

Let's get real here my friend. Everyone of those doubts you have about your current Energy MLM, you will have with any other Network Marketing company. Face it, we are in competitive market places for any product. There will be other people within your own company and without trying to gather "your" customers. That is life in this fantastic Capitalistic society we live in, embrace it.

Energy Industry Perspective

Take stock. From the industry perspective, Energy deregulation has started and will continue to grow in an upward wave for the next 5 to 10 years. The eventual customer base is in the ten's of Millions (how many do you have to get out of, say just picking a low number, 36 million people that would like to save money on their energy bill, to be earning from $1000 to financial freedom a month?)

Energy Product Perspective

From the product perspective, everybody uses energy. Not everybody has to loose weight, take vitamins, have a lawyer on retainer, etc. And if they do and times get tough (like they are) which of those items will continue to get paid? Energy. The product is a winner.

Energy MLM Industry Perspective

From the MLM perspective and your current company perspective, a Dr. Charles King did academic research into the world of Network Marketing. Based on fifteen (15) plus years of data, he proved that of the folks who stay actively involved in ONE COMPANY for 10 years or more, over 95% reach the top of the compensation plan and earn six or seven figures a year?

What about that Boat?

Where is your Energy MLM going to be in 5 to 10 years? Better yet, will you have 5 to 10 ACTIVE years in your Energy MLM?

How big will your boat be then?

The First Step to Saving Money on Your Energy Bills, Part 1 (The Kitchen)

Believe it or not, it is entirely possibly to start saving tonight on your energy bills - no matter where you live, or the type of house you live in. The real secret to saving money is knowing where to start. So, let's get started!

It's a very important step - yet it is one that nearly everyone falls all over. In fact, it is the first step for a reason. Knowing where to start looking for energy problems is half the battle. Once you find the problem areas of your home, you can find solutions that will fix or remedy those areas.

In this article, we'll focus on your kitchen's energy usage.

Every home or apartment has a kitchen. And in this kitchen there are numerous appliances you have to keep your eye on. Do you know what the biggest energy waster is in 95% of kitchens? It's the refrigerator. That modern marvel is terrific for keeping foods from spoiling, but if it is more than 10 years old, it is "obsolete" and a waster of energy. Today's refrigerator units use on average 25% less energy than their predecessors just 10 years ago.

So what can go wrong with a refrigerator? Usually the first sign of wear on an old fridge is the seals and hinges of the door. It isn't surprising when you consider that the doors are opened and closed repeatedly at least 10 times a day in over 50% of homes. Think about how often you open and close the doors on a daily basis. Twice at breakfast, four times or more at dinner, and a few more times to reach for a cold beverage.

All the strain on the hinges adds up, especially on older units. Now granted, they are built to withstand the constant opening and closing, but eventually problems will crop up. And when they do, either the door refuses to close all the way or it gives way to small areas around the door that aren't insulating as well as they should.

And the seal...well it doesn't take long for the seal to crack or lose its tight "grip". Once this happens, refrigerated air will leak out (or more to the point, warmer air will seep in) causing your fridge to work harder. The additional strain on the compressor, fan, and other parts means they run longer, on average, than usual. And this directly translates to high energy bills.

So, whats the solution? Well, hinges should be replaced if they are going bad, and the seals should be checked - especially on older units. You can also improve the efficiency of your fridge by ensuring it is not placed in direct sunlight or near a heat register. Minimize the amount of times the doors are opened and closed. Every time you open or close the door, you are exchanging cooled air for warm air. Finally, vacuum the exchanger coils once per year to allow better air circulation and more efficient operation.

The fridge is not the only place energy is used or potentially wasted. Your stove/oven also uses energy. And like refrigerators, the older they are the less efficient they become.

Whether you have an electric range or gas range, be aware that advances in appliance technology again means that units 10 years old or more are less efficient than current models. Keep in mind too if you have a natural gas range that there is inherent inefficiency with burning fuel for heat. Every gas appliance has an efficiency rating which tells you how efficient the unit is at converting the gas input to heat. As a practical example, if a range has a 10,000 BTU burner and operates at 80% efficiency, the most heat it will out put is 8,000 BTU. As the unit gets older, the efficiency rating goes down, so the fuel is burned less efficiently. This means that the range will need to run longer to achieve the desired result. Again, the direct result is higher gas bills.

Electric ranges are no different, except, as with all electronics, they are near 100% efficient in converting the "power". In other words, there isn't a built in efficiency problem as with natural gas appliances. The wattage the unit is rated at will be what it takes as input, and the heat output is consistent. There is no need to convert to an "efficiency output" as with natural gas. However, like their gas counterparts, the heating elements and electronics inside the unit certainly become outdated or can break over time. Consider that if an electric range burner "burns out" or breaks, it is useless. It must be replaced. Gas appliances usually don't have these electrical problems. Newer units use less power and heat better because of better convective cooking surfaces, better heating elements, and better, more energy friendly electronics inside the unit.

Ovens, whether they are electric or gas, typically have the same faults. Over time, the seals wear out and heat is wasted through the doors, Their heating elements as well can become old and outdated. Additionally, the insulation that surrounds the oven may crumble or being to show signs of wear. All these elements contribute to the oven's inefficiency.

So, how do you combat these problems? Sometimes, it isn't an option to use them less. But ideally, that is the best course of action. When using the oven, try to cook foods during the last 5 minutes of the cooking cycle with the heat "off". Avoid peeking into the oven - use the window. Opening the oven too often allows vital heat to escape, and thus the oven as to turn on for a period of time to compensate for the lost heat. You can use a similar trick with electric ranges. The element will remain warm for a couple minutes after it is turned off. Use covers when cooking on the range as they trap more heat than open pots and pans. Lastly, once boiling temperature is reached, turn down the burner to maintain the boil. It saves energy, while still boiling the liquid.

Last, let's touch briefly on microwaves. Another modern marvel that makes cooking fast and simple. There is a direct correlation between the power of the microwave and the power consumption. The power, measured in watts, is the power input. At 100% power, the microwave converts most of the power input to radiation, which heats the food/liquid in the microwave. Simply put, the more powerful the microwave, the more energy it takes. There is no such thing as a powerful microwave that is "energy efficient". Powerful microwaves are inherently energy hogs.

So, where's the opportunity for savings here? Well, using the microwave in "short" periods helps. The less you use the unit, the better off you are. And like most other appliances, older units become inefficient over time. The electronics and more importantly the radiation (microwave) source becomes outdated and produces less radiation. The 10 year rule applies here - if it is older than 10 years old, look into replacing it. Also, watch the hinges and door latch. These have a tendency to come loose with constant usage, even if the unit is only a few years old!

I hope you've enjoyed the energy journey through the kitchen. Next article, We'll walk through your living room and look for opportunities for energy savings there. See you then!

Energy Medicine - How Does it Work? Applied Quantum Physics

From the science of quantum physics you are viewed as an incredible, holographic system of energy, a multidimensional framework of vibrating waves that intersect in points of light to be seen as a quantum particle when in focus - an idea, or image in matter - and when unfocused, a moving wave of infinite potential and possibility.

The universe is a magnificent dance and interplay of never ending possibilities.

The truth that quantum physics reveals is that you can choose your own perception of reality at any given moment.

Problems arise when you get stuck in your perceptions, and develop habitual patterns. You become addicted to seeing life in a particular way, again and again you create the same experiences for yourselves.

Simply put your body, your mind and emotions do not heal from past trauma and other painful experiences because you forget you can let go and allow the particle to become the wave once again. You continue to hold on to past hurts and nurse your wounds which blocks the natural flow for healing to occur.

How do you free yourself from this situation and help others to do so, as well?
