Four Things to Consider When Choosing a Business Solar Energy Solution

The Mind - The Most Powerful Weapon a Basketball Player Has


When you think of basketball training what types of things come to mind? If you're like most people you probably think of things like shooting drills, speed & quickness workouts, developing the weak hand, footwork and etc. Those are all very legitimate basketball fundamentals that need to be improved and should be part of every players training routine. The point I'm trying to make however, is that there is something else that wasn't mentioned that most players don't even think about when it comes to training. Something that they don't realize has a far greater impact on their ability to succeed than the typical things like shooting, dribbling, speed and jumping do. What most players don't realize is that the power of the mind is more amazing than any other physical skill they can possess and that they need to take the time and energy necessary to train their mind like they do their body. If they do this they will start to see results ten times quicker than if they relied on just their physical abilities to make themselves a better player.

Think of it like this. There is very little debate about how good of a player Michael Jordan was. 9 out of 10 people you ask will agree that he is the best player that has ever played the game. Since MJ has been out of the game it's accurate to say that there have been dozens of players come into the NBA that could jump just as high, could shoot just as well, could play just as good of defense, etc. But, how many players have we seen that have played the game as well as MJ? That's right, zero. And it has everything to do with what went on in MJ's head, that's where he was different and that's what set him apart. MJ had an amazing will to win, an unshakable confidence in himself and an understanding of how important it was to study the game - especially his opponents.

The fact of the matter is - most players don't have the patience to work on their mind. When they have an hour to focus on basketball they want to get on the court and do something physical. They want to form a pick-up game or work on some aspect of their game and you can't fault them for that, those are good things that need to be done. It takes practice to get in a routine of regularly working on your mind. The good news is it's not hard to do and it doesn't take very much time. Even if a player dedicates just 15 minutes a day on improving their mental basketball state, they will improve as a player 5 to 10 times quicker than if they focusing on just physical skills. The purpose of this article is to explain the specific things that need to be done in order to obtain a powerful basketball mind.

Visualize yourself succeeding

Players should spend a good 10 minutes a day (at minimum) visualizing in their mind themselves performing well on the basketball court. It should be uninterrupted and it should be taken very seriously. It doesn't matter if it's done while listening to music or in perfect silence, it's whatever environment the player feels most comfortable in. The point of this exercise is for players to imagine themselves executing successfully the types of things they will likely be doing during games. For example, I'm a point guard that has never dunked a basketball, for me to imagine myself stealing the ball and then throwing down a windmill dunk is silly. Instead I will visualize myself bringing the ball up the court with confidence, making sharp passes, hitting the open 3 pointer, coming off a screen and making a jump shot, things like that. You want to focus on visualizing yourself in scenarios that are very likely for you to be in during a game and visualize yourself doing them well.

If this is the first time you've ever heard of this and don't understand the power of meditation please don't be closed minded to this. IT WORKS. The mind is more powerful than any of us can comprehend and when it is conditioned to believe something, it does whatever it takes to make it happen. Does that mean that a horrible shooter can simply just imagine themselves making 10 out of 10 three pointers before a game and automatically come out and miraculously go 10 for 10 from 3 point land? No. It doesn't work that way. It's a process, not a silly hocus pocus, superstitious, magic act. When you see yourself performing well in your mind over and over again eventually your body syncs up with the mind and starts perform in harmony with the mind. The opposite is just as true. If you continuously doubt yourself and visualize yourself as a bad player, that's exactly how you'll perform on the court.

Another reason players want to visualize their success is because it builds confidence. A very common reason players don't perform well in games is they don't handle the stress very well. They know that the shots they take all of a sudden mean something and so they get nervous about missing. If you've gone through in your head how you will shoot during a game, it will come much more naturally and you'll shoot with more confidence.

Be a student of the game

It's not enough to simply know the rules of the game. If you want to become a top caliber basketball player you have got to study the game. When you study the game you find all sorts of angles that give you advantages while you play. These little advantages can mean the difference of scoring 18 points a game vs. 14 or averaging 12 rebounds vs. 8.

Instead of just watching a game for pleasure try to focus more and really take away some things that will help you on the court. Watch the player that plays your same position and pay attention to everything he does. Try to pick up on the little things that are going on and if something takes place that you can't explain, write it down and talk to your coach about it.

Buy or rent an instructional DVD. If there is something you know you can improve in, find out what other coaches or successful players have said about the topic. Your coach probably has a whole library full of DVDs, if not they are all over the Internet. Do some searches and really try to study the topic because you aren't the first to have questions about whatever topic it might be.

Study your opponent

Players that take some time before each game to really think about their opposition perform better than those that don't. You can't just take the exact same approach into every game you play. Is the team you're playing going to play you mostly man-to-man or will they zone you? That makes a huge difference in what type of activities you'll be doing in the game and if you take 5 minutes to think about that you'll play better. It's that simple. Other things to think about are things like how good of an offensive player is the player you'll be guarding? If they are really good you are probably going to get pretty tired guarding them and therefore you may need to adjust your philosophy on offense. If they aren't very good then you'll want to formulate a plan to help out more on defense and look for opportunities to push yourself on offense. The bottom line is this - players that goof around and take no time to think about their opponent before a game under-perform.

Eliminate fear

Fear can be one of the biggest barriers to success a basketball player can face. Fear of not succeeding, fear of looking stupid, fear of failure, etc. For you to become the player you want to be, you have to overcome your fears by addressing them head on. What I mean by that is taking some time to really think about what you are fearful of. In most instances you'll realize that what you are fearful of is actually kind of silly but you'll never come to this realization if you don't take time to address it. What's the worst thing that can happen if you miss a shot during a game or perform poorly? Would you be the first one to ever go through that experience? Could you deal with it? Of course you could. Would it be the end of the world? Of course not. And if it's your coach your fearful of realize this - I don't know a coach out there that likes to see their players play tentative. All coaches I know would much rather you play with complete confidence and take a bad shot every once in a while than run around the court so nervous to make a mistake that you never really do anything. Really, what is there to fear?

Basketball players that use their mind to make themselves better are the cream of the crop. You could be the best conditioned and most skilled player in the world but if you're mind is a wreck it will all go to waste. The Birth of Technology

Technology Here's something that I learned decades ago, and I see evidence of it frequently. Technology starts with government, or heavily government backed, projects and gradually shifts into the public awareness, then the creative entrepreneurial mind gets involved and launches the technology into those able to afford the advantages of this technology. Once competition takes hold, mass production techniques are created, then the technology becomes more affordable to the "common" man.

NASA started working with solar panels back in the 1960's to power space vehicles and much larger projects such as the space station with this technology starting its migration into public arena in the 1970's, and as early as 1976, the solar industry was hopeful that solar power would eventually provide a significant portion of the country's electricity by the end of the century.

With professional installation typically costing $15-$20,000 this has made the project impossible for the majority of families, but once this initial burden is handled the payback, over time, can be huge! You have lower to minimal electric bills each month but the power companies are required to buy your excess power from you if you wish. Now not are you only saving money each month but you have created another tool for generating additional monthly income for you and you family.

Advantages & Disadvantages of Solar Energy at Home


If you're considering installing solar power in your home then chances are you've spent some time mulling away on the advantages, disadvantages of solar energy. Advantages

The last disadvantage we looked at was the fact that solar arrays obviously need sun to produce power. The great thing is though that any solar array can be connected to a battery supply which means if your array produces excess energy this can be stored and used any time you need it.

Cost isn't just a disadvantage of solar energy, it's also one of the main advantages. Most solar arrays start paying for themselves after just years. Given that most have a life expectancy well beyond that, there's the potential to make significant savings in those later years if you're prepared to make the investment now.

Utilities are ever increasing in cost, and demand is on the rise. Independence from the grid is another huge benefit of home solar power. Keep in mind most governments offer rebates and tax benefits for installing solar power.

The Power Of The Unconscious Mind - The Secret To Student Success


One of the best ways I know of to give a massive boost to your ability to learn and to enhance your grades beyond all recognition is to leverage the immense power of your unconscious mind.

'The thinking process is unconscious. We become aware of the results consciously. All change takes place at the unconscious level. We become aware of the change consciously when we are ready.' Joseph O'Connor

What on earth does this mean???

Well, read on ......

Roughly two million bits of information per second come into the human nervous system. We are literally bombarded with information. To maintain sanity, our conscious mind filters out most of the stimuli and Miller (1956) discovered we can consciously handle only seven plus or minus two bits of information at a time.

The unconscious mind deals with everything else over and above the seven (plus or minus two) bits of information that you are not consciously paying attention to at a particular time. As soon as we switch our attention to something, then it becomes conscious. Some parts of your physiology will always be unconscious. This should not surprise us really. Our unconscious mind takes care of us all the time! We do not run our heart, lungs, kidneys, immune system etc... consciously do we?

I want to show you how to bypass the conscious mind in order to access the immense powers of your unconscious mind. The unconscious mind is around 90% of your total mind power as opposed to the 10% of the mind that you usually use in your normal daily waking state. The unconscious mind is a source of great treasure - of skill, of memory and experience.

The power of positive thinking can be significantly enhanced and reinforced by the use of affirmations. An affirmation is a short statement in the present tense repeated frequently to impress itself onto and be accepted by the unconscious mind. The ideal affirmation must be short and totally unambiguous. This is important, as the unconscious mind cannot easily assimilate long or complex statements. The unconscious mind is much more easily influenced by short, appropriately worded statements.

The majority of people however, are in the habit of negative thinking - of dwelling on problem areas in their life by repeating exactly what they do not wish to happen. This often ends up compounding the original problems and making them even worse. For example, a student might keep on saying to themselves:

"I will never be successful in my examinations".

Or: "I always get sidetracked when I am studying".

Or: "I simply can't concentrate".

The student who constantly repeats these negative affirmations, either consciously or unconsciously, will be much less likely to succeed in their examinations, and may never be able to concentrate or get their studying done.

Underlying almost every negative emotion is a thought or belief, and most often these are unhealthy thoughts or beliefs. By unhealthy I mean they are not effective in getting you what you want in your life. They don't serve you.

The belief (often unconscious) is like a trigger. It sets you up to fail in certain situations.

Remember this! If you do not THINK and fill your head with positive thoughts and beliefs, then negative ones will always come in to fill the gaps.

Please NEVER, ever, ever, ever underestimate your own abilities. It is never a question of can you do something. The real question is will you?

In the examples above, the student was repeating the negative affirmations in their head. They should instead replace them with the equivalent positive affirmations. Such as:

"I know I will be successful in my examinations ".

Or: "I am focussed when I sit down to study".

Or: "my concentration is improving".

This might well seem difficult to do, particularly in what may seem to be difficult circumstances or where the reality appears to be totally the opposite. However, believe me, like most things, it is just a question of practice.

Where attention goes, energy flows! You become what you think about most of the time.

The more often an affirmation is repeated, consciously or otherwise, the more quickly and effectively it will become real. But take care because this works just as effectively for both positive and negative affirmations. A great time to repeat positive affirmations is just before drifting off to sleep at night or just after waking in the morning before you get up. At these times your conscious mind communicates best with your unconscious mind. If you can repeat the affirmations throughout the day and even write them down and place copies around your home, so much the better.

An even more powerful possibility exists as an alternative to affirmations that are stated aloud or within the mind. This is the power of "Subliminal messages".

The power of subliminal messages has been proven over many years to be a highly effective way of programming the unconscious mind by using either audio or visual methods. In fact,subliminal messages are so powerful in the way they work on the unconscious mind, that in 1974 the US government banned all forms of subliminal message advertising on radio and television.

Subliminal messages reach the unconscious mind by working at a level that cannot be detected by the conscious mind. The conscious mind therefore never has an opportunity to reject them and the unconscious mind can receive and act upon them.

There are two main ways of using subliminal messages in a most powerful way - visual and audio.

Visual subliminal messages are affirmations that are flashed before the eyes so quickly that the conscious mind cannot perceive them. The affirmations therefore go directly to the unconscious mind, which perceives and acts upon them immediately.

Audio subliminal messages work in a similar way by being played at a frequency that is just above the normal threshold of human hearing. Again, as with visual subliminal messages, although the conscious mind cannot perceive these affirmations, the all-powerful unconscious mind can perceive them, and will therefore immediately act upon them.

Both audio and visual subliminal messages are extremely powerful in accessing the enormous potential of the unconscious mind.

Once you understand the power of the unconscious mind and start to harness it, you can skyrocket your grades and the learning process becomes a natural rather than a forced activity.

Imagery - The Key to Unlocking Your Performance Potential (Part 2)

Rule #4 of the Mental Road states: "Your Dominant Thought Determines Your Emotions, the Behaviors that Result from Those Emotions and Ultimately, Your Performance." (See Performance File #06.) But how does this happen?

Most experts in the world of Psychology agree on the basic premise that the human mind is characterized by two major divisions: the conscious mind and the subconscious or non-conscious mind. While they don't all agree on the names to use when describing these two fundamental thought processes and some even look to subdivide the categories further, most would acknowledge that the subconscious mind is capable of more powerful and sophisticated thought processes than the conscious mind is capable of.

In its simplest terms, the conscious mind is the seat of reasoning or decision-making in the human species while the non-conscious mind is the reservoir for your emotions and is thought of as your 'creative' mind. Your conscious mind can be likened to the captain of a ship who directs, who makes decisions and gives orders that other crew members then execute. Your non-conscious mind is a reactive thought process that does not reason out as your conscious mind does but responds rather to the nature of the thoughts you hold in your conscious mind. In other words, the non-conscious mind takes its direction from the thoughts you choose to make dominant in your conscious mind. If you doubt that the non-conscious mind is more powerful that the conscious mind, consider this: you are not at this very moment consciously aware of or controlling the various processes in your body that are keeping you alive. Likewise, you are not consciously in control of these processes each moment of every day, even when you are sleeping! Heart function, circulation, cellular rebuilding, nervous system function, digestion, memory, motor control, muscle activity, the immune system, hormonal shifts, energy metabolism, etc. - all of these processes are being coordinated at this very moment by your non-conscious mind. If we had to consciously think through this coordination process, we probably would not be able to live very long and enjoy healthy lives... your conscious mind cannot operate your body but it can get in the way of its smooth operation.

As you try to understand the role of the conscious and the non-conscious mind as far performance is concerned, there are a couple of simple rules that you should keep in mind.

Two basic rules of the conscious mind:

1. The conscious mind looks at options and makes a decision based on that analysis.

2. Once the conscious mind makes a decision, all other options are thrown out for the moment. The conscious mind then interprets the information that it subsequently receives in a manner that supports that decision.

Two basic rules of the non-conscious mind:

1. The non-conscious mind always agrees with what the conscious mind tells it, whether it is based in reality or not.

2. The non-conscious mind moves in the direction that the conscious mind points it.

The fundamental truth is that we cannot directly control our subconscious mind...it has been programmed, over decades sometimes, by our life experiences and our beliefs and value systems. Our subconscious mind responds to the thoughts we process in our conscious mind and takes over as the architect of our emotions and reactions. If I commanded you right now to "be happy", while you could certainly fake happiness, exhibiting the characteristics we associate with a happy person (smiling, laughing, etc.) to truly feel happiness, you would have to think 'happy' thoughts...thoughts that would gradually lead you to become happy. Likewise, if I commanded you to be "sad", you wouldn't truly feel the deep sorrow associated with sadness unless you first processed thoughts in your conscious mind that are saddening and as a consequence, you would gradually become sad. Again, consider the emotions you've experienced while watching different movies, some happy, some sad, some arousing, etc. By immersing yourself in the story and imagining yourself in the situation being projected, your mind and body responds much the same way as if you were truly there, experiencing the emotions that would be consistent with that situation.

The impact of these simple rules on performance is profound. At its core, the sub-conscious mind does not challenge the validity of the thoughts you process in your conscious mind. Whatever thought you make dominant in your conscious mind, your sub-conscious mind accepts it as true - whether it is in fact true or not. What that means is if you think you are a loser, your subconscious mind will simply say "loser... I can do that" and initiate the emotions and the behaviors that are consistent with losing. On the other hand, if you think of yourself as a winner, your subconscious mind says "winner, I can become that person" and the emotions and behaviors that result make it easier for you to become successful. If the thoughts are positive and productive, you are able to more easily focus on the task at hand and your performance is better but if they are negative and destructive, your performance will deteriorate as you violate the Rules of the Mental Road. We all know this to be true...how you think and feel influences how you perform.

What is Imagery?

First, let's understand that imagery is not the same as visualization. Imagery involves the creation and use of all the senses (sight, sound, feel, taste, and smell) in the imagination to influence or change existing thoughts, feelings, attitudes, and behaviors. Visualization (or "seeing with the mind's eye") is a narrower concept since it only describes one part of imagery - the 'seeing' part.

Mental imagery for performance is not daydreaming about the great athlete, musician, or actor that you would like to be. Nor is it wishful thinking about how you would like to perform during a particular event. It is a learned skill that requires effort, quality practice, and focus to master. You can think of imagery as "mental holograms" that link your mind to all parts of your body involved in producing a particular performance. Imagery can be used to influence a particular set of performance skills or to influence emotions such as anxiety, and the behaviors that stem from those emotions.

Who of us has not imagined themselves to be the best in the world at some activity? When you go out and try to reproduce the mindset and behavior that is consistent with this image of success you create in your mind, you are mentally programming yourself to perform like a champion. Your Mind Power Is Your Destiny


The human mind power is probably the greatest mystery in the history of mankind.

Despite having gone through thousands of years of civilizations, man has only recently found out that the human brain power is generally under-utilized. We have traveled so far as to reach the moon, yet most people today have been able to utilize only up to 10 percent of what the brain is capable of achieving.

It holds the greatest power of creation in the universe, yet it is so elusive to many people, who are ever in search of the power that can bring success and glory in life.

From a young age, we learned directly or indirectly what are the important things we need to do in our life so as to get ahead in the world. In school, we are taught to study hard to get a good paper qualification. In work, we know our life single most important purpose is to work hard, constantly upgrade our skill sets to stay relevant to the fast-changing world, and to network diligently to widen the power of our social network.

There is always an endless list of things waiting to be accomplished. But sadly, most people never truly feel secured no matter how hard they have worked. No matter how far people have gone in their pursuit of power, they will inevitably experience an increasing sense of lagging behind, which constantly drain their energy and confidence.

Ironically, the very power that they set out to pursuit through the acquisition of wealth and status has eventually created a desperate sense of powerlessness deep inside their heart.

Why is it so?

The truth is, in the pursuit of all the powers that should supposedly help us achieve wealth, status and success, people have abandoned the one and only power that really matters in their life, that is, the subconscious mind power.

The subconscious mind power is our innate gift. Yet not everybody is aware of its power or even its existence. Some people have probably heard of such innate power but refuse to believe that it works. There are many who are aware and believed in this innate power, are learning how to master the technique of tapping the power residing in their subconscious mind.

Our subconscious mind holds the power to create anything that our mind can possibly conceive. The very challenge that people face in harnessing their subconscious mind power is how to tame their conscious mind. A mind that is untamed wonders in all direction from one moment to another.

A mind with wondering unfocused thoughts has very little power to command the subconscious mind. Just as the laser beam will not have any power when it is scattered.

However, this is exactly the kind of mental state most people are having today, as a result of countless bombardments of information, stress and temptations in our modern world.

Calming the mind and be still is not the natural state of being for most people. It takes efforts and practices to be able to quiet our conscious mind so as to control our subconscious mind. Meditation is one good way to tame the mind, but it is by no means an easy process. Some people spend years to perfect their skill of meditation, and achieve a state of being unsurpassed before.

Today, studies of the science of mind have provided substantial proofs to confirm the viability of such subconscious mind power; more people are convinced and curious to learn more about how to master their subconscious mind.

The scientific findings on the potential of human mind is known to be the greatest discovery of our time, with the potential to leapfrogged the progress of our civilization like the invention of light-bulk, car, airplane, telephone, etc.

Today, after years of efforts in mind research and brain development, mind tools such as mind hypnosis are available to help people achieve effective control of their mind. Having a powerful mind is like having the anchor for our body, mind and soul, which ensures that every other aspect of life, such as health, mental, emotional, finance, and relationship, will be firmly secured.

The crucial thing to realise is that when you believe that you will attain your goal, you will perceive the situations and opportunities as the means and routes that will lead you to reach your goal.

Dualities Old Energy - Duality Provides Appropriate Friction & Challenges - Part 1


Majority of individuals have difficulty accepting any new concepts, since they are so deeply ingrained with duality and their traditions, old dogmas and belief systems. Many will continue to choose to live in a dualistic world, which is the belief in opposition of the one force, where they will hold onto conflict and peace, joy and suffering or pleasure and pain. Their agendas will only side with one aspect, as they ignore, judge and squash the other potential. They will try to hold on to old ways, old modalities and old methods of judgment, hardship, punishment and suffering concepts, to only have a bit of compassion, which is full of pity, sadness and conditional love.

To address old energy concepts can be broken down into 2 main categories.

1. Storm of Change
2. Duality

Let's take a look at each individual category:

1. Storms of Change - When you dwell upon the old ways and your masquerade stories, your experiences will intensify to create more conflict, separation, control and wars. 'What you identify with will control you and where your attention goes your energy flows, to increase and magnify with use'. The wars, the down-turn of the economy and the natural disasters are the storms of change and they have arrived again. It is time to become awakened to new expanding expressions of awareness. These storms are the disruption of the hypnotic overlays and belief systems in the masses, it is disrupting you from playing within dualities drama games. Many still choose to play their dualistic story games in Earth's sand-pit, but for you, what do you choose? The irony of the matter is that how on earth can you understand a new way when you may not even understand what the old system was all about, let alone comparing it with something new that the mind cannot even comprehend or perceive at your present level of consciousness?

2. Duality - Duality is the game of playing opposite roles - the dark and light, good and bad, right and wrong, love and fear as well as the masculine and feminine role games. These are the experiences needed to fully understand who you are and what life is about. In each lifetime you chose the drama-games on the dualistic ladder of what you wish to learn and experience. These experiences provide the appropriate friction and challenges that you need to learn, by immersing yourself fully into an experience, whether it is about the light, grey or dark without the conscious remembrance of your past to interfere. It is to fully experience your contract or agreements, your perceived destiny seed and it is through duality that you side with one aspect and ignore or belittle the other aspect. However, duality creates a division, a separation between self, because it is an unsafe, survival energy that makes you feel righteous and yet unloved, unwanted and alone. In other words, a dualistic life has been an adventure of discovering 'Who Am I'.

Now that human consciousness is expanding, you may be ready to release duality, the separation of right and wrong, good and bad etc and begin to accept all things as they are. All of your experiences, the dark and the light, brought you to the level of consciousness where you are now at. There is a gift in every game, so bless that experience, even if you don't understand why the sad, difficult and challenging scenarios occurred. Through acceptance you can now move on, away from fear and the dramas of suffering and bliss. You can move on from life's survival games, serving others, seeking validation outside of self by letting go of disempowerment or controlling games.

Energy Medicine - Part 3 - Living Cells, Energy, and You


In the past two articles about energy, we have reviewed the background behind the discovery of the mysterious interactions, currents, wavelengths and frequencies that govern and measure motion, life, and communication. This background is merely useful for opening up our minds to the concept of how much energy and frequencies and magnetics and electrical devices are influencing our lives today that we take for granted, whether we understand them or not. In order for us to recognize the potential impact of energy and frequencies on the body, let's start by understanding how individual cells function in our bodies.

Years ago, DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) was discovered. Its discovery was touted as an enormous scientific breakthrough, which indeed it was. Wikipedia's first two paragraphs introduce DNA as follows:

"Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) is a nucleic acid that contains the genetic instructions used in the development and functioning of all known living organisms and some viruses. The main role of DNA molecules is the long-term storage of information. DNA is often compared to a set of blueprints, since it contains the instructions needed to construct other components of cells, such as proteins and RNA molecules. The DNA segments that carry this genetic information are called genes, but other DNA sequences have structural purposes, or are involved in regulating the use of this genetic information.

Chemically, DNA is a long polymer of simple units called nucleotides, with a backbone made of sugars and phosphate groups joined by ester bonds. Attached to each sugar is one of four types of molecules called bases. It is the sequence of these four bases along the backbone that encodes information. This information is read using the genetic code, which specifies the sequence of the amino acids within proteins. The code is read by copying stretches of DNA into the related nucleic acid RNA, in a process called transcription."

Understanding DNA, however, is only a part of the whole picture. If DNA represents a cell's blueprint, then we must explore how the individual parts in the blueprint (the cells) communicate with each other to send messages of pain, repair, renewal, reconstruction, infection, danger, and so forth.

Each cell must be able to ingest nutrients, metabolize nutrients, excrete byproducts (toxins), experience growth and mobility, provide protection, and communicate with other cells. The DNA in each cell is needed for the division of cells and for the production of new proteins. It is surrounded by regulatory proteins that need specific vibrational frequencies that unravel the regulatory proteins in order for the DNA to perform its function. The regulation of each cell is triggered either by certain molecules that may be a hormone, a growth factor, neurotransmitters, OR the electromagnetic frequency of those molecules. This will trigger secondary events inside the cell which include the influx of calcium or the triggering of cyclic AMP (adenozinemonophosphate). These secondary events activate specific processes inside the cell which may increase enzyme use, protein production, or other biochemical processes. The cell then uses its energy to pump the calcium out of the cell and resume the slow biochemical processes. Interestingly enough, the function and regulation of the cell does NOT need DNA. The cell will function without DNA until the proteins are used up. Then, without DNA, new repair proteins cannot be made, so the cell will eventually die.

Integrins are adhesion molecules that link the inside of the cell to the outside of the cell and from each cell membrane to the matrix that surrounds and supports the cell. Regulation of the cell takes place through these integrins. Every cell has an ideal resonant frequency for its development, its defense and for its own repair. Each cell has been preprogrammed to die (which we call apoptosis). And new cells will take their place. For instance, the lining of the gut will completely turn over 10,000 times in a lifetime; bone and fascial tissue will turn over 10-15 times in a lifetime, and enzymes are replaced every few seconds. Understanding that the body does indeed renew itself , depending upon the tissue type, several times during a lifetime, is essential to understanding how the body can repair itself when placed in a healing environment with the needed nutrients.

Let's look at how individual cells communicate with each other. Every cell of the body is connected to every other cell through the tissue matrix. Every organ is surrounded by fascial tissue. These cells communicate with each other because we can measure an awareness of any event or injury at a distant site. Cell connections form, break down, and reform as cells change and move.

How do groups of cells communicate? Think about the primitive radio set you may have constructed as a Boy or Girl Scout. Sets are still available that, when put together, will become an actual radio that will receive transmissions. This receptive process is accomplished by the use of a crystal in the radio set.

We use hard crystals as a device for receiving and giving off different frequencies of energy. Interestingly, our biologic tissues are liquid crystals that generate electrical fields when compressed or stretched. These include connective tissue, the myelin sheath which surrounds every nerve, and muscles. The electrical fields that are generated initiate remodeling of the cells or metabolic regeneration.

The collective frequencies of surrounding tissue regulate the processes of the local cells. If certain cells shift out of harmony, the healthy surrounding tissue will reinstall the correct frequency. When too many cells shift for a long enough period of time, as in physical trauma or chronic emotional stress, a disease or disorder will result. These "dis-eased" cells need energetic pharmacology to correct the abnormal frequency, or to cancel the pathological frequency.

If we turn our attention to understanding communication pathways in the whole body, we can start to recognize the connection between the various healing modalities that have existed in all cultures throughout the world for millennia. Healers have recognized various energy pathways as being ways to access injured or impaired tissue and channel the healing energy to it.

Acupuncture meridians are low-resistance pathways for the flow of energy into every cell of the body. When we experience physical or emotional trauma, these will impair energy pathways, which reduce the cells' ability to repair and defend themselves. Disease ensues. This trauma experience is actually stored in the tissue itself (a thought which is interesting in light of the religious perspectives on forgiveness, judgment, etc.).

Much has been said recently about the "string theory" of quantum physics, a theory that propounds the idea that all things are interconnected. Wikipedia describes the string theory in part with this compelling observation: "The elegance and flexibility of the approach, however, and a number of qualitative similarities with more traditional physical models, have led many physicists to suspect that such a connection is possible. In particular, string theory may be a way to "unify" the known natural forces (gravitational, electromagnetic, weak nuclear and strong nuclear) by describing them with the same set of equations, as described in the theory of everything."

Additionally interesting is the idea that everything is receptive to, and can record, input. Recently, we learned of the oldest recording (you can listen to it on MP3 at this website:http://www.firstsounds.org/sounds/index.php). This fascinating recording was made on April 9, 1860-17 years before Edison invented the phonograph!-by Parisian inventor Édouard-Léon Scott de Martinville on his "phonautograph" - a device that scratched sound waves onto a sheet of paper that had been blackened by the smoke of an oil lamp. Scott made the recording with the intent to analyze sounds visually, not to play them back. Nevertheless, the sounds were actually recorded in the scratches upon the blackened pages. We once watched a television show wherein a pot was being thrown on a potter's wheel at the same time as a conversation was being held in the room. The conversation was actually recorded in the clay surface of the pot. Cells, and the objects of which the cells are comprised, while seemingly impermeable, are capable of storing memory. While not well understood, this capability has been recognized for years!

It will provide you with information about some proven specific frequencies in current (no pun intended) healing modalities, with equipment and tools in use today. As a fun experiment this next week, you might be interested in some simple experiments of your own.
